#NationalComingOutDay is a day that makes me feel like a mentor, a rabbi, a parent, a colleague to my queer colleagues. It is the day where I experience continuous overflowing joy seeing folks in my life expressing who they are and how they relate to the world around them. Sometimes this is challenging and painful, and there is a deep joy in seeing that sharing and knowing that I can be part of someone's support structure and family.

Being out as a genderqueer trans rabbi who is in the fight for justice until liberation for all is achieved is a privilege and a challenge every day. And I wouldn't give it up for anything.
